I love Taiwan. Why?! Because Taiwan is well known throughout the world for its night markets and street food. Taiwan also is a green island. I went to Taipei with my husband back in November 2018. We ate so much during those few days!! :D
.
Traveling in Taiwan is very easy. Taiwan has a great reputation for its public transport. You can get a travel card (EasyCard) and use for train, buses, and taxis. Also, you can use the EasyCard in most convenience stores, shops, and parking, etc. https://www.easycard.com.tw/en/about
.
If you have a chance to visit Taiwan. You must the world famous Shi Lin Market (士林夜市) and Xi Men Ding (西門町) to Rao He (饒河街觀光夜市), Jing Mei (景美夜市) and Shi Da (師大路夜市), the many night markets across Taipei itself leaves you in a dilemma from not knowing which one to visit!

Here are some memories back in November last year!
My flavor food in Taiwan was - Spring onion pancake. The Taiwanese-style spring onion pancake is a good bet. It's light, flaky, and toasted to a perfect crisp.
.
Taiwanese pork sausage - they aren't like the hotdogs you get from any supermarket in the UK. These are sweeter and a lot chewier with delicious smokey flavor.
.
Octopus takoyaki - I absolutely love this. Taiwan's octopus takoyaki is insanely cheesy and gooey. Freshly cooked in a traditional iron pan. These balls of batter are stuffed with seafood and different type of vegetables and then drizzle with mayo or other sauces for extra flavor.
.
Beef Noodles - husband's flavor!! One of well known Taiwan dish. Braised beef served with homemade noodles in soup broth is to-die-for. The one went to is near Xi Men Ding. Yong Kang Beef Noodles. I am hungry already!
.
Grilled Squid - A whole squid sliced open and grilled under a hot BBQ. I still remember the chewy texture and mouthwatering smell.
.
Ice Cream Runing - This dessert is insane! A sweet runbing is sprinkled with crushed peanuts and then a scoop of creamy ice cream on a wheat-flour based wrapper. Rolled up to a tight cinch, so every bite fuller sweet and crunchy flavors. So good! There also a savory vision wrapped with shredded pork and bean sprouts, or other meat variations.
.
Taiwan pearl tea - also known as Bubble tea. This brings back my childhood memory when bubble tea introduced to China. Everyone is crazy about this tea. The best one I tried so far was in Chen San Ding (Zhongzheng District stall). Black sugar bubble tea, which is essentially just brown sugar tapioca pearls topped with a generous amount of milk. I highly suggest you give it a try if you have a chance!
.
There are too many yummy foods there. If you love food, Taiwan is the place you must visit!! I will go back there and explore the nature side of Taiwan next time. :)
